Using the app
By installing or using Slatekeeper you agree to these terms. The app is licensed to you for your own productions on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
Your content
Logs, notes, voice notes, drawings and logos you create are yours. They are stored on your device and are never uploaded by the app, so you are responsible for exporting and keeping them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Timecode and sync
The app's timecode is a reference taken from the phone's clock. It is not locked to any camera. Flash and beep alignment depends on your phone and audio route; check it with the app's calibration tools before relying on it for a shoot.
Flashing light
Every clap fires a bright full-screen flash. The app shows a warning on first run and offers a reduced-flash setting. If you or your cast are sensitive to flashing light, use it.
Purchases
Slatekeeper is a paid app sold through Google Play at the price shown there. The app checks with Google Play that your Google account owns it. If a purchase is refunded, the licence ends and the app shows a message asking you to buy it again; your data stays on your phone. If the check cannot finish, for example because you are offline, the app keeps working.
No warranty
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and the publisher is not liable for lost footage, lost data or missed takes to the extent the law allows.
